Basic Tomato Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
1 chopped onion
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 tins tomatoes
250ml tomato puree (my favourite: Heinz Frito!)
Salt and Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat a little oil in a pan
Add the onion and garlic and cook till soft.
Then add the tomatoes and puree.
Stir thoroughly and bring to boiling point again.
Put in a little salt and pepper.
Leave to simmer, with a lid on, for minimum of 20 minutes, and up to 1 hour.
