Stuffed picnic bread
INGREDIENTS:
1 quantity of bread recipe
8 slices of bacon
6 eggs, boiled for 7 mins and shelled
300 g grated cheese
A bunch of fresh basil
A small jar of sun dried tomatoes
Olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Bread recipe
500 g flour
300 ml slightly warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 sachet dried yeast
2 teaspoon sugar and salt each
extra flour for dusting
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix dry ingredients and add water gradually till you have dough consistency.
Knead for 5 mins.
Put in an oiled bowl, turn to coat with oil and cover with oiled plastic wrap.
Leave to proove, in a warm place, for about an hour, till doubled in size.
Punch it down and knead till smooth.
Roll out as needed.
Make a long rectangle with your bread dough.
Along the middle of your bread, lay out all your ingredients, using the whole length.
Drizzle with olive oil and season.
Pull the dough over the filling, encasing the ingredients in a tunnel shape.
Bring one end around to the other and join them together.
Transfer to a flat, flour dusted baking tray and allow to proove for 15 mins.
Dust lightly with flour and bake in oven at 180 C for 35 mins.
Allow to cool and pack it with your picnic.!! Or serve warm !!
